I have read many books in my childhood, like storybooks, comics, and so on, but here I would like to talk about a book that is very special to me even today: The Diary of a Young Girl, also known as The Diary of Anne Frank. ๐Ÿ“š This was one of my most favorite books in my childhood. I was so touched by this book and enjoyed it so much that I read it 2-3 times. This book was published from a diary written by a young girl named Anne Frank. My father gave this book as my 11th birthday gift, and I read it when I was 11 years old. ๐ŸŽ I have even read it when I grew up and was a student at college. To my surprise, the book was as appealing and touchy as I found it in my childhood.

The book was adapted from the diary of Anne Frank, who was a teenage girl around 13 years old at the time of writing her diary. She originally wrote in the Dutch language, and later this book was translated into more than 60 languages worldwide. ๐ŸŒ She wrote the diary when she and her family were in hiding for two years during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands during the Second World War.

Anne got a diary as a birthday gift when she turned 13, and she began to write in it from 14th June 1942. At that time, the Nazis invaded the Netherlands, and they were hiding in a sealed-off upper room of Anneโ€™s father’s office building in Amsterdam. They remained hidden there for two years, and Anne wrote about the events of the people living there, her personal thoughts, and what happened at that time.

She had a good relationship with her father and a poor relationship with her mother. She admired her sister’s talent, intelligence, and calm nature. Initially, she was irritated about Peter, a boy of her own age, but later on, they became very close. Thus, a little girl wrote about the relationship, people’s mentality, perceptions of humans, little joys and sadness of life, and revealed the suffering of the people due to the war.

Anne died when she became 15 years old after they were betrayed and found by the Nazis. Sadly, she died only 2 weeks before the British troops liberated the prisoners from the concentration camp. After her death, the diary was a bit censored and was published with her father’s permission, who was the only survivor from the Nazi camp.

The suffering of the people during the war, the feelings and thoughts of a young girl, her complaints and happiness, her perception of life were so brilliantly expressed that it touched my heart. ๐Ÿ–ค I could not leave the book until I finished it, and I was deeply touched to read the thoughts of a young and brilliant girl who was killed at her 15.

I have read many books in my childhood, like storybooks, comics, and so on, but here I would like to talk about a book that is very special to me even today. ๐Ÿ“š The title of the book is Grimm’s Fairy Tales, written by W.C. Grimm. This book was gifted to me by my aunty on my tenth birthday. ๐ŸŽ

She bought the book from an exhibition. This book contains many enchanting tales, to name a few: “The Frog Prince,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” and so many more. Even today, I flick through the pages of the book when I am free. The pages of the book have turned yellow, but still, the book is unique to me. ๐Ÿ“–

I remember I was very possessive about the book. I never used to lend it to anyone. Sometimes, I used to take it to school and vacations also. Once, I took part in a storytelling competition and got the first prize. ๐Ÿ† I told the story of “The Frog Prince.” The stories are very interesting and meaningful.

Along with the text, there are many illustrations also. ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ I have covered the book with glazed paper to protect it. Every night before going to bed, I used to read one or two stories. ๐ŸŒœ My sister also used to read stories from this book. This book inculcated in me the habit of reading. ๐Ÿ“–โœจ

You know, nowadays, the habit of reading is diminishing in children. My parents always inspired me to read books, a hobby that has enriched my life immensely. ๐Ÿก๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ
